Lemon, Rose, and Cardamon Mousse Layered with Chocolate Pudding
Lemon is my go-to flavor when I am looking for something that is just a tiny bit tart but sweet at the same time. I like to make this Lemon Rose and Cardamom Mousse recipe when entertaining and enjoy making a pretty presentation when serving a dessert.
I’ve layered Lemon, Rose, and Cardamom Mousse on a simple chocolate pudding. The chocolate with the lemon flavor is such a delicious mix and cuts the bitterness of the lemon.
In this presentation, I created an easter dessert using my antique Waterford coupe glasses. They are so elegant, and I love using them when serving a special dessert.
I placed a dollop of chocolate pudding at the bottom of my coupe glass, added another larger dollop of Lemon, Rose, and Cardamon Mousse, and added a tablespoon of whipped cream on top of that. I then added a few chocolate easter eggs and graded some lemon zest to create a pretty presentation.

Lemon, Rose, and Cardamom Mousse
1/2 cup lemon curd
1 cup cold heavy whipping cream
1/4 cup powdered sugar
1/4 teaspoon rose water
1/2 teaspoon ground cardamom
INSTRUCTIONS
Assemble time - 10 minutes.
Serves 4
In the bowl of a stand mixer fitted with the whisk attachment, combine lemon curd, cold heavy whipping cream, and powdered sugar.
Whip until stiff, for about 3-5 minutes.
Divide between 4 glasses. Then cover with plastic wrap and refrigerate for at least 4 hours or overnight.
Note: Do not introduce more rose water into this recipe since it will affect the consistency of the mousse. Rose water is also very potent; you don’t want to overpower your lemon curd flavor. It just adds a subtle flavor that cuts the bitterness of the lemon.
You can find lemon curd in the grocery store, and I’d recommend getting a good-quality brand. You can usually find lemon curd in your grocery store’s jam/jelly section. It comes in jars, or you can make it from scratch. I used one from a jar, and it’s so much easier.
As for the chocolate pudding, I used Jello brand chocolate pudding and mixed it up with whole milk. Honestly, with the depth of the lemon mousse, the chocolate pudding is a simple accompaniment. It worked fine and was delicious.
How to assemble:
I placed a dollop of chocolate pudding at the bottom of my coupe glass, added another larger dollop of Lemon, Rose, and Cardamon Mousse, and added a tablespoon of whipped cream on top of that. I then added a few chocolate easter eggs and graded some lemon zest to create a pretty presentation. That’s it! Easy as it goes.
