Create a Heartwarming Pink and Gold Holiday Table

Pink and gold are two of the most popular colors for holiday decor, and for good reason. They create a warm, inviting atmosphere that is perfect for celebrating with loved ones. Whether you're hosting a formal dinner party or a casual get-together, a pink and gold holiday table is sure to impress your guests

As a designer, It is important to me to create beautiful designs for the love of my family, friends, and customers. I believe that our homes should be reflections of the people we love and the memories we share. That's why I'm passionate about creating designs that are both functional and stylish, and that will bring your family together.

Family gatherings are a time to celebrate the people we love and the memories we share. And what better way to create new memories than around a beautifully designed table?

A well-designed table can set the tone for the entire gathering, making it feel more inviting and special. It can also be a great way to show your guests how much you care.

Here are a few tips for creating a beautiful table design for your next family gathering:

  • Start with a clean slate. Remove any unnecessary clutter from the table and make sure that the surface is clean and free of debris.

  • Choose a tablecloth or table runner that sets the mood. For a formal gathering, start with a white tablecloth or another that is special to you. For a more casual gathering, you might choose a patterned tablecloth or table runner in your favorite colors.

  • Add a centerpiece. A centerpiece is a great way to add a focal point to your table and to tie the whole design together. A simple centerpiece, such as a vase of fresh flowers or a bowl of fruit, can be just as effective as a more elaborate centerpiece.

  • Set the table with your best dishes and silverware. If you have special occasion dishes and silverware, now is the time to use them. Even if you don't have special occasion dishes and silverware, you can still make your table look elegant by choosing dishes and silverware in a complementary color palette.

  • Add personal touches. Don't forget to add personal touches to your table design. This could involve displaying heirlooms as dΓ©cor, or creating a custom place card for each of your guests..

Layering your table

Layering your place setting using different dishes gives your eye a lot of texture and pattern to take in all at once. It allows for your table to have depth and character..

I layered each place setting with a simple gold charger, a beautiful modern Kate Spade dish, an antique Limoges porcelain plate, and finally I added a beautifully embroidered linen napkin on top.

The centerpiece I designed is a collection of muted colored roses of gorgeous caramel, pink, and cream hues to match my tablecloth. I also added different colors by adding berried juniper and other evergreens. They were perfect for creating a cascading effect allowing for a more softened and delicate design.

I started with some soft autumn flowers of roses, mums, and aromatic evergreens. The evergreens had so much texture and different variations of colors. I had two rectangular glass vases and decided to make two centerpieces that will go along the center of the tablescape..

These caramel color roses are just so special. They play off of the magnolia leaves so nicely.

I also added little bud vases filled with a few flowers and placed them here and there to fill the blank areas on the table. I also added pillar candles and votives for ambiance and other holiday decor to be sure the holiday spirit was represented on my table.

I curated this tablecloth to match my centerpiece and place setting. I used a more luxurious material since I wasn’t going to have children at the table this year.

This antique majolica cake plate was the inspiration for my table color palette. The patina and rich colors all of glorious earth tones in this cake plate feels so heartwarming.

This cake plate has been in my husband’s family for four generations, and it now has been graced to my family for safe keeping. I love how this beautiful cake made by Taste by Spellbound here in Connecticut, looks on this plate.

This is a three layer chocolate cake with caramel filling.

The holiday sangria is always a nice addition to a dessert table. Please see my blog on the holiday sangria for the recipe.
